Character Name: Kyoko Sasagawa
Canon: Katekyo Hitman REBORN!
Canon Point: After chapter 409.
Background/History: http://reborn.wikia.com/wiki/Kyoko_Sasagawa
Personality: Kyoko is a very kind and caring person, considering people she had only exchange a few words with as friends. She does her best to help everyone that she can, and is a social butterfly at school. Because of this, she is the most popular girl at Namimori Middle, as stated both in canon by the creator and Tsunayoshi Sawada.
When her and Tsuna went to go review their “When I Grow Up" essays from preschool it is that as a child, her dream was to be on stage, however if that dream didn’t come true, she wanted to become a police officer and catch all the criminals so her friends could live in peace. Kyoko has a strong sense of what’s right and what’s wrong but she’s also able to keep an open mind.
But, even though she has a lot of friends, Hana and the Vongola are the only people she consider her close friends, and know just about everything about her. The others at school aren’t as close, but she does care for them.
Kyoko idolizes her older brother for his strength, but doesn’t like him fighting. She hates any type of violence.
She also likes to shop, and try on ‘girly’ clothing like dresses and blouses. Accessories she finds cute but doesn’t wear much. Maybe a pair of earrings there, and a necklace here, but that’s about it. Less is more with this girl (unless it’s food!). This is shown when she enters Dying Will Mode, and regrets not getting/eating more cake her self-appreciation day.
Kyoko plays dumb about a lot of things for the most part, to keep her friends and family from stressing too much over her, since she hates to be the one who makes people worries, and does her absolute best to ensure people she is okay. This is shown with how she believes her brother’s story of “late-night sumo wrestling tournaments" and him getting hit by a “falling star". However, she knows something is up and this is shown when both her and Haru hide while everyone is talking about their training, and they over hear things about the Millifiore and what is happening in the future.
Ryohei taught her how to fight after she was held hostage from a few middle schoolers, resulting in the scar on his head. Although she practices every so often, she doesn’t use her skills to hurt others, and is no where near as talented as her older brother when it comes to boxing. In the anime, she is shown messing with her brother’s boxing gloves, demonstrating very little of her skill.
She is shown to be reckless, and acts a lot on her emotions. This is shown when she flees the Vongola base in order to get snacks for Lambo and I-Pin, as well as to visit her home just once. Gokudera states that she "doesn't seem the type to be so reckless.". That is because it contrasts with her usual calm demeanor.
She has a strong sense of justice, and will act on it. She can be stubborn when she wants to be, such as when her older brother, Ryohei, urges her to stay home after they return to the past temporarily, but she insists on returning to the future with them, no matter how dangerous it might be.
Kyoko is very considerate and in tune with people's feelings. When Tsuna is picked to defend the dojos that are being attacked, she tells him if it's too much trouble that he doesn't have to, noticing that he lacks the confidence and will to do so. She also helps him open his box weapon, stating "I really think that little guy really wants to be your friend." And allowing him to find out why he couldn't open his box weapon correctly.
Although it is very rare, she does get angry and will stand up for herself and what she believes in. This is demonstrated as when Mochida declares that she, herself, is the prize of the match between him and Tsunayoshi Sawada. She says "P-Prize?" And is held back by her friend, Hana, and another unnamed character to stop her from marching right up into his face and giving him a piece of her mind.
She is very formal with everyone, referring to every boy with honorific "-kun" and every female with the honorific "-chan". The only exception to this rule is her friend, Hana. Although she is the most popular girl at Namimori and considers those she had barely come in contact with her friends, Hana and a few of the members in the Vongola are the only ones she can depend on and trust.
Abilities/Powers: Kyoko is your average day girl. She has no powers besides a small amount of training in boxing.
Items/Weapons: A good luck charm she made, a pair of boxing gloves, and a stuffed rabbit.
Sample Entry: At least ten sentences in first person, please. A link to a previous post or thread with the character is also acceptable.
[ A young girl with ginger locks and bright brown eyes appeared on screen. She fidgeted slightly, feeling a bit nervous to be on camera. ]
Ah…..is this thing recording?
[ It looked like it was! Finally she got it working. Although she wasn’t completely unfamiliar with the technology she held in her hands, she was very scared and uncomfortable in this situation, seemingly making her lose a lot of common sense. ]
My name is Kyoko Sasagawa. [ She introduces herself, a small smile tugging at her lips. ] I’m not sure how I got here…..or where I’m even at. But can someone tell me the way back home? Onii-chan will be worried if I stay here much longer. [ Speaking of her older brother, he was probably already out looking for her. How would she explained she had been dropped off in an apartment complex with no memory of how she got there? Her brother was sure to come looking for her! So there was no need to worry, right? He had promise to always protect her, and she trusted in him fully. He always kept his promises, after all. ]
Sample Entry Two: The younger Sasagawa opens her eyes, awoken by the sound of an alarm clock. Caramel hues glance to the side, and then widen as she realizes that she was no in her room. Where am I? She thought to herself, glancing around the room once more. What is this place suppose to be? Was I kidnapped? If she was, why wasn't she tied up or anything like that?
Sitting up in bed, she pulls the covers close to her. Fear and confusion washes over her as she realizes she was not alone in this room. Five others who also had looks of confusion on their face had awoken to the same alarm clock she had to. Had they been kidnapped? Flashbacks of the incident of the some middle schoolers had taken her as hostage when she was younger, and used her to call him out. Onii-chan.... she thought. please be safe. . He recently had gotten injured from a falling star, although she knew that was a lie, she merely played dumb until she could figure out what it was really from.
"Um……excuse me….. " Her voice held doubt in each words, although it did not shake it was obvious she was scared. "Do you know where we’re at?" She asks the others, smiling softly at them. It would be rude for her to be impolite, no matter the situation at hand or how scared she was.
